In order to enable the citizens of India to secure access to information under the control of the Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council (TIFAC), an autonomous Society under the aegis of Department of Science & Technology the following officers of TIFAC(DST) are designated as Central Public Information Officer under sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 5 of the Act and Appellate Authority to consider appeals under sub-section (1) of section 19 of the Act.
